John W. Hall

June 16, 1945 — May 29, 2014

John W. "Johnny" Hall, 68, passed away at his home in Philpot, surrounded by his family, on Thursday May 29, 2014 following a short battle with cancer. He was born on June 16, 1945 in Daviess County to the late Guston and Etta Horn Hall.

John was preceded in death by a son, John Bryan Hall; a sister, Margaret Alice Hall; and a brother, Hilary Hall.

John owned and operated John's Paint & Body Shop in Philpot. He enjoyed family outings, pontoon boating, selling and trading, watching westerns, travelling and working on his antique cars.

John is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kerry Jean Hall; four daughters, Susan Roberts, Charlotte Hall, Vickie (Jeff) Cecil and Becky Aud (Vince Bermudez) three sons, Bobby Gene (Robin) Aud, Charles Hall and Phillip (Tonya) Hall; a brother, James "Buddy" Hall; four sisters, Dorothy McCollam, Mary (Bud) Coleman, Martine Richardson and Pat (LeRoy) Shultz; 14 grandchildren; Zac, Jacob, Jessica, Jeffery, Lucas, Lindsey, Heath, Blake, Nic, Josh, Brittney, Amber, Heather and Katlyn; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews which he always loved and cared for.

The funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, June 2 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Bro. David Voyles will officiate. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 until 6 PM and on Monday after 10 AM at the funeral home.

A bereavement meal will be held at Lourdes Catholic Church Parish Hall on Frederica Street following the burial.
