John A. Bryant

Mr. John A. ''Bill'' Bryant, 81, of 1542 Linden Ave, Owensboro, died Sunday, April 1, 2001 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. A native of Greenville, MS, Mr. Bryant retired from Texas Gas (Williams Gas) as a Supervisor in the Communications Department. He was a member of Third Baptist Church and the Baraca Sunday School Class, the Antique Wireless Association, Owensboro Rifle and Pistol Club, and was a fellow of the Radio Club of America.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leslie Allin Bryant in 1993 and a son, John A. Bryant, Jr., in 1995.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Sharon Davis of Madisonville and Kathy Spencer of Wenatchee, WA, and 5 grandchildren, Sarah and Scott Massamore of Madisonville, Aaron Spencer of Seattle, WA, Erik Bryant of Boston, MA, and Holly Green of Victor, NY.

Funeral services are 1 P.M. Tuesday, at Glenn Funeral Home officiated by Dr. James K. Byrd with burial in the Owensboro Memorial Gradens.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 A.M. Tuesday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Third Baptist Church Christian Life Center.
