John C. Askins

John C. Askins, 63, of Owensboro, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born March 1, 1952 and was retired from the General Electric Co. Small Motors plant as a Gauge Lab Technician. He received an associate degree from Owensboro Community and Technical College in Applied Science of Computer Manufacturing and Machining. He was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed Nascar and building model cars.

John is survived by his wife of 41 years, Vickie Askins, his daughter, Carrie Mann and husband Jason of Owensboro, two grandchildren, Jessica and Michael Mann, his parents, Audrey and Gene Whitaker of Owensboro, and a half-brother, Tony Whitaker of Owensboro.

Private services will be held. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
