Joey L.E. Brown

Joey L.E. Brown, 29, of Owensboro began his eternal journey Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Owensboro on May 12, 1980, he was the son of Jerry and Brenda Renfrow Brown; was a graduate of Apollo High School; a welder for Schwab Co., and attended Good Shepherd Church. Joey loved riding motorcycles and 4-wheelers, hunting and fishing; but, most importantly, caring for his children. He was a loving, caring young man who never met a stranger. Joey was preceded in death by a grandfather, Donald Earl Brown, great-grandparents, M.E. "Jack" Renfrow , Armel and Mamie Gray, and Gurtie O'Bryan.

Surviving are his children, Dakota Brown and Madyson Brown; his parents, Jerry and Brenda Brown of Owensboro; his companion, Jennifer Fulkerson of Owensboro; a grandfather, Randel Renfrow of Owensboro; grandmothers, Faye Gray Renfrow and Maxine Kase of Owensboro; great-grandmothers, Margaret Renfrow of Owensboro and Dorothy Renfrow of Utica; aunts, Barbara Wilson and Pam Pierce of Owensboro and Doris Kinkennon of Mickey, TN; uncles, Tommy Brown of Owensboro, Donald Earl Brown, Jr. of Colorado, and Roy Allen Brown of Oklahoma; and many cousins and friends.

Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday, June17, 2009 at Glenn Funeral Home with Pastor John Morse officiating followed by burial in Clear Run Cemetery in Ohio County. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday and after 12 noon on Wednesday at the funeral home.
