Joel Knox Farmer, 60, of Owensboro passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2005 the Carmel Home. Born May 4, 1945 in Oldham County to the late Aaron K. Farmer and Inez Butler Farmer, he was a volunteer pianist at the Adult Day Care Center, various area churches, and the Prison Ministry in Muhlenberg County, as well as a regular entertainer at the Carmel Home and pianist at Trinity United Methodist Church, where he was a member.
He is survived by a sister, Frances Hall of Bowling Green; a brother, Ivan Farmer of Crestwood, KY; four nephews; a niece; five great-nephews; one great-niece and a host of friends
.
Services are 1 P.M. Saturday, November 5, 2005 at Trinity United Methodist Church officiated by Dr. Glenn Sowards. Visitation will be 2-4 P.M. Friday at the Carmel Home followed by a brief memorial service; 6-8 P.M. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home; and after 9 A.M. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
