Joe Francis Haley, 63, of Fulton, Kentucky, died Sunday at his home. He was the maintenance supervisor for the Fulton Housing Authority. He began working for A&P Grocery in Owensboro at age 16 as a sacker, and worked his way into management and supervisory positions with A&P until moving to Fulton and accepting the position there. He was of a quiet demeanor, quite the handyman, loved the outdoors, liked camping and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, James F. Haley in 2003. Survivors include a son and family, James Nathan (Natalie Elizabeth) Jones and children, Jason Hunter, and Jack Samuel Jones all of Austin ,Texas, and daughter and family, Heather Suzanne (Michael) Ainsworth and children Morgan and Michael Paul Ainsworth, all of Carrolton, Texas, his loving mother, Virginia Haley, sister Barbara Haley, brother Don (Joni) Haley, all of Owensboro, a sister Janice (Gene) Watson of Evansville, Indiana, sister Mary Lenhardt of Selah ,Washington, and a brother Wayne (Mary Craig) Haley of Elizabethtown, Ky., nephews, Jon and Brad Watson, Kenneth and Will Lenhardt, and a niece, Nicole Haley.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Todd Love officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Friday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the donors charity of choice.
