Joe M. Conder

Joe M. Conder, 67, of 3490 Old Mill Lane, Owensboro, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2006 at his home. He was born on September 5, 1938 in Breckenridge Co., Ky. to the late Hubert and Grace (Dooley) Conder. He was retired from Pinkerton Tobacco Co after 20 years and was a part-time employee with Rural King. He was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed working on antique clocks, collecting knives, playing golf, and fishing. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Maclin W. Conder.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Charlotte J. Conder, a son, First Sgt. Mark W. Conder and his wife Peggy of San Antonio, Tx., a daughter, Denise C. Conder of San Antonio, Tx. two grandsons, Caleb and Jacob Conder, and four brothers and sisters, Sue and her husband Rev. Barney Priar, Hubert Donald and his wife Christine Conder, Harold Conder, and Helen Louise Church, all of Owensboro, several nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews.

Services are 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 10, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial and full military honors in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 9:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
