JoAnn Head

JoAnn Head, 84, of Owensboro died Wednesday April 25, 2018 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Mrs. Head was born January 4, 1934 in Hancock County to the late Roy and Fannie White. JoAnn was a sales clerk for Sears and retired from there after 35 years. She was a devoted Catholic and very supportive of the AmVets organization. JoAnn loved playing bridge, reading, watching game shows, and sitting on her front porch. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved going to Grandparents Day at their school.

Mrs. Head was also preceded in death by her husband, James Head in 1992; brothers, Leon and Vernie White; sisters, Cleva Grayson and Martha Lillipop.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Mike Head and wife Kim, Jody Head and wife Karen both of Owensboro; daughter, Jennifer Clark of Biloxi, Mississippi; ten grandchidlren, Katelyn Head, Jamie Head, Kristen Head, Brandon Clark, Jessica Clark, Megan Clark, Chandler Head, Caroline Head, Catherine Head, and Christina Head; five great grandchildren, Brandon Clark, Alexander Clark, Zachary Clark, Jace Conn, and Lillian Conn; numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be noon Friday, April 27 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Pat Reynolds officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 till 7:00 pm with prayers at 6:30 and Friday from 10:00 till 11:30 am at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
