JoAnn Whistle Hanks

JoAnn Whistle Hanks, 63, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne. Born in Central City on October 29, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ruby Jones Whistle; a homemaker, member of Ridgewood Baptist Church, and enjoyed playing Bingo and the lottery. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tamela Mowery and a son, Brian Hanks.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jasper Jack Hanks, a son, Christopher Hanks of Ft. Wayne; a daughter, Jennifer Spitler of Ft. Wayne; and four grandchildren.

Services are 2 P.M. Saturday, September 22, 2007 at Glenn Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Prater officiating followed by burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after `11 A.M.
