Joan Hale Willis

Joan Hale Willis, 75 of Owensboro died Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the Hermitage Care and Rehabilitation Center in Owensboro. She was born on April 29, 1934 in Muhlenburg Co. to the late Robert and Eddina Mae Hale. She worked at the International Shoe Company in Hopkinsville for over 30 years and then retired from the International Paper Company. Joan was a member of First Baptist Church in Owensboro. She enjoyed traveling, going to Florida and walking on the beach, and square dancing.

Joan will be remembered as a loving wife and aunt, a person always willing to put friends and family before herself and one who loved the Lord.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Clyde Willis, brothers; Bobby Hale of Crofton, Ky. and Billie Hale of Buellton, CA, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 4 at Cherry Grove Cemetery in Weir, KY which is in Muhlenburg Co. with burial following. There will be no visitation.
