Jo Ann Gibson

Jo Ann Gibson, 84, of Owensboro went to be with her Lord under the care of hospice on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. She was born June 3, 1933 to the late Junius and Ozetta Jackson. Jo Ann was a member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church for 67 years. She enjoyed decorating, playing games, and going camping at the river. Jo Ann was an avid UK basketball fan. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Wilbur Gibson; her grandchild, Aaron Michael Paris; her brothers, Richard Jackson and Levi "Buddy" Jackson.
Survivors include her daughter, Gay Gibson Paris of Owensboro; her son, Greg Gibson (Connie) of Owensboro; her grandchildren, Jared Gibson (Tabitha) and Jennifer Gibson Quillen (Michael), Adam Paris(Emily) and Jordan Paris; her great grandchildren, Rilee, Greyson, and Everly Jo Quillen, Bentlee Browning, Gaige Gibson, and Chandler Paris; her sister, Peggy Hunt of Evansville, IN; her sisters-in-law, Ricki Jackson of Tell City, IN and Faye Allen (Quentin) of Ft. Mitchell, KY; her aunt, Bobbie Langford of Owensboro; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
The service will be 11AM Friday, April 27, 2018 at Eaton Memorial Baptist Church. Dr. Dennis McFadden will officiate. The visitation will be 4-8PM Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and 9AM until service time on Friday at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to Eaton Memorial Baptist Church or Hospice of Western Kentucky.
