Jimmy "Jimbo" Roberts

Jimmy "Jimbo" Dean Roberts, 61 of Owensboro passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Riverside Manor in Calhoun. Mr. Roberts was born September 5, 1955 in Daviess County to the late Harold Dean Roberts and Yvone Ashley England. Jimbo was the owner of Barney's Callas Grill from 1994 till 2006. He loved Jesus and was very passionate about his faith. Jimbo also loved to ride his bike and once completed the trek from Owensboro to Key West, Florida. His favorite thing to do was to play with his grandkids.

Mr. Roberts also was preceded in death by his sister, Stephanie Francis.

Survivors include his two sons, Matthew Roberts of Utica and Benjamin "BJ" Roberts of Owensboro; granddaughters, Sophia Renee, Lilyanne Renee, Julyan and Yosely Roberts; brothers, Mark Roberts and Byron Todd Roberts both of Navarre Beach, Florida.

The service will be 10:00 AM Friday, January 20 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Brother Shay Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Friday after 9:00 AM.
