Jewell Mae LaMar

Jewell Mae LaMar, 89, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital after a long illness. She was an angel here on earth and is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jewell was born April 19, 1926 in Spencer County, Indiana to the late John M. and Pauline Massie Graham.
She worked at General Electric for many years and was a long time member of Seven Hills Baptist Church.
Jewell was passionate about her Bible reading. She was also an artist who enjoyed knitting and spending time with family.
Mrs. LaMar was preceded in death by her husband, Wellman C. LaMar; a son, John Paul LaMar in 2009; sisters, Anne Lee, Charlene, Irene, Wanda Lee, Deloris and Frances; and brothers, Wiley and Verner.
She is survived by her beloved sisters, Nina June Hicks of Grandview, IN, Marjorie Mullen (Joe) of Tell City, IN and Patsy Shirel (Ron) of Sullivan, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at Noon Friday, December 11 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Chrisney, IN. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 PM and Friday after 10 AM at the funeral home.
