Jewell "Nadine" Goodman

Jewell “Nadine” Goodman, 90, of Owensboro passed away Friday, January 30, 2026, at Morning Pointe Senior Living of Owensboro. The Logan County native was born February 11, 1935, to the late Boyce Welborn and Emma Lee Driskill Welborn. Nadine was a natural caregiver, taking care of her ailing mother, raising six children, and working as a CNA for 15 years before retiring from Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital in 1992. She loved sewing, shopping, and decorating. Her family claimed she never had enough of the three “P’s” (pillows, pictures, and purses). She loved her family and enjoyed all the times they spent together.

In addition to her parents, Nadine was also preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Mike Goodman in 2019; children, Vicki Stallings and Jeff Stallings; siblings, Margie Hendrix and Willis Welborn.

Those left to cherish her memory include her four children, Dan Stallings, Richard Stallings (Veronica), Toni Conder (Mike), and Sonja Jewell (Dennis) all of Owensboro; 16 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren; sister, Lucille Welborn in Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be 10:00 am Tuesday, February 3 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 pm and Tuesday from 9:00 am until the time of the service. A private entombment will be in Christ’s Chapel at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
