Jessie William Sharp

February 19, 1928 — April 23, 2019

Jessie William Sharp, 91, of Owensboro, passed away peacefully April 23, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born February 19, 1928 in Owensboro to the late Connie and Betsy Sharp. During his 22 years of service in the United States Army, Jessie served in the Korean War and was a military police officer and a sergeant. Jessie also worked at G.E., Coca-Cola, and retired from Job Corps. He was a member of New Song Church. His family will remember him as being a good father, a loving husband, and always providing for them.

Jessie was preceded in death by his sisters, Ann Price and Bertha "Babe" Feldpausch.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Irene Davis Sharp; daughter, Sandy Sharp, of Nanuet, NY; sons, David and Michael Sharp, both of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.

The service will be 2pm Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12pm until 2pm Friday at the funeral home.
