Jessie Helm Mccollum

Jessie Helm McCollum, 84, of 800 East 27th Street, Owensboro, Kentucky, died Monday, November 19, 2001 at Heartland Medical Center in Sebring Florida. Ms. Helms was preceded in death by her first husband Tommy Helm in 1967 and by her second husband Leslie McCollum in 1985.
Ms. McCollum was a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church and the Harmony Sunday School Class. She enjoyed painting, traveling, friends and family.
She is survived by a step son, Les McCollum, Jr. of Marion, ILL; two brothers, Chester Farmer of Owensboro and J.R. Farmer of Hartford, Ky; three sisters, Ruby Farmer of Fordsville, KY, Wilma Jean Hawkins of Sebring, Fl, and Norma Bridgemon of Owensboro, KY; a step grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home followed by burial at Cates Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 10 a.m. on Friday.
