Jessie "Frances" Williams Mattingly, 98, of Owensboro, passed away on November 13, 2014. Frances was born in Golden Pond, KY on December 21, 1915 to the late Perry Douglas and Mary Eliza Williams. She was a member of Third Baptist Church and the Vota Vita Sunday school class. Frances was a school teacher for many years and retired as the librarian at Daviess County Junior High.
In addition to her parents Frances is preceded in death by her loving husband Hubert Mattingly; infant daughter, Doris Lynn Mattingly; siblings, Mattie Tuggle, Kitty Brister, John Williams, and Juanita Sparks,
Survivors include her daughter Linda Jarvis and her husband Sam of Owensboro; sister, Dorris Myers of Paducah, and a loving extended family.
The funeral service for Francis will be held 2 pm Friday November 21, 2014 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 12 noon on Friday until time of service. Burial will be Saturday 1pm at Murray City Cemetery, Murray KY
