Jesse B. "Jay" Oliver, 66, of 511 Tampa Drive, Owensboro, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2005, at his home. He was born in Daviess Co., Ky. and had been a self-employed auto mechanic. He enjoyed Nascar and watching basketball. He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Alan Oliver on May 17, 2003.
Surviving is his wife of 40 years, Ruby Oliver, a daughter, Angela and her husband Robbie Baird of Owensboro, two grandchildren, Robert & Jessica Baird, at home, a brother, Robert "Bobby" & his wife, Mary Oliver of Lewisport, Ky. and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 24, at Glenn Funeral Home with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday and after 10:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
