Jerry E. Whitaker

Jerry E. Whitaker, born May 23, 1938, left this world at home on October 20, 2023. Jerry was a custom home builder and master carpenter. He received the Award of Excellence from the National Association of Home Builders for outstanding ability in the art of carpentry. Jerry was a Kentucky Colonel, a founding member of the Daviess County Coon Hunters Club and could raise a heck of a garden. He loved his family and friends, working, hunting, working his dogs, and the natural beauty in mother nature.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lucille Whitaker, and son-in-law, Paul Paris.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of almost 65 years, Mary Jane (Aull) Whitaker; daughter, Janet Paris; son-in-law, Joseph Kennedy; grandson, Jerrad Paris; and great granddaughter, Carmen Paris.

The family is thankful for the loving care from the special folks at hospice. We send all our love to family and friends for their prayers and concern.
