Jerry Wayne Sparks

Jerry W. Sparks, 60, of 2079 Surrey Drive West, Owensboro, died Tuesday, June 11, 2007, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born April 16, 1947 in Muhlenberg County. He had worked at Commonwealth Aluminum for 26 years, where he made many friends. A faithful member of Owensboro Christian Church, where he helped teach the Agape Sunday School Class. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, reading his Bible, watching western movies, UK basketball and NASCAR.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Azeline Stewart.

He is survived by his wife of 391/2 years, Margaret Edgell Sparks; his daughters, Tina Palmer and her husband, Phillip Aaron Palmer of Owensboro, Tracy Bennett and her husband, Shane Bennett of Hartford; six grandchildren, Rachael and Makayla Sparks, Shelby and Cameron Bennett, Logan and Christopher Palmer; two brothers, Larry Stewart and his wife, Angie of Bremen, James Stewart and his wife, Beverly of Bremen; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at the Owensboro Christian Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home, and after 10:00 AM Thursday at the church.
