Jerry Donald Rouse

Jerry Donald Rouse, 77, of Owensboro, died Sunday, April 5, 2015 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born June 8, 1937 in Daviess County to the late William T. and Alice C. Wilson Rouse.

Jerry retired from KAEC (United Utility Supply Co-op, Louisville, KY) as an Area Marketing Manager for Western Kentucky and Western Tennessee after 25 years of service. Prior to that, he was retired from the IBEW, Local 1701, as an electrician. Jerry was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

He was an avid golfer, having joined Windridge Country Club in 1969. He accumulated 11 hole-in-ones during his golfing years. Jerry had a passion for music and was proud to have introduced the guitar to his granddaughter, Katie. He treasured time spent with friends and family, especially his grandchildren whom he dearly loved.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by three dear children, Janet Leah in 1965, Jeffrey in 1967 and Hope Rouse in 1968.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marian E. "Bettye" Rouse; a daughter, Jennifer R. Kloete (Rick) of Franklin, TN; grandchildren, Ashley, Lauren, Katie, Hannah, Matt and Tim of Franklin, TN; brothers, Carroll Rouse (Willodean) of Northglenn, CO and Wayne Rouse (Debbie) of Mt. Laurel, NJ

The funeral mass will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Fr. Brad Whistle will officiate. Burial will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3-7 PM, with prayers at 6:30, and on Thursday after 10 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
