Jerry Sherman Hayden

Jerry Sherman Hayden, 71, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, January 10 at his home. He was born August 21,1942 in Daviess County, KY to the late Ernest Ivo Hayden, Sr. and Agatha Wethington Hayden.

Jerry retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. He was then employed by DynCorp for nearly 20 years.

Jerry was of the Catholic Faith. He was an avid reader who enjoyed model airplanes, old movies, hot rods and puzzles.

Jerry was preceded in death by brothers, James W., Ernest, Jr. and Bernard "Buddy" Hayden; sisters, Naomi Ranta, Jean Clark, Martha Saltsman and Sue Clukey.

He is survived by; a son, Mark Hayden (Melissa) of Keysville, GA; a daughter, Karen Ellison (Dean); grandchildren, Matthew Hayden (Sarah), Phillip Hayden and Whitney and Ashley Ellison; great grandchildren, Melaney and Liam Hayden, all of Waynesboro, GA; and a sister, Rosie Kimbley of Owensboro.

Private services will be held.
