Jerry Lee Dycus, 67, of Owensboro passed away February 28, 2016 at his home under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born October 5, 1948 in Tell City to the late Leroy Dycus and Ruth Poole Early.
Mr. Dycus was an Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He was an avid hunter who was also a gifted restorer of vintage mustangs. Jerry recently professed his faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and was attending Bridgepoint Church.
Mr. Dycus was preceded in death by his two sisters, Vickie Early and Diana Stevenson.
Survivors include his mother Ruth Early of Owensboro; longtime companion, Mary Burns of Owensboro; daughters, Jennifer Aud and husband Scott of Owensboro, Tammy Brown and husband Roy of Owensboro; son, Rodney Dycus and wife Beth of Tennesse; brothers, Pete Scott and wife Brenda of Owensboro, Thomas Dycus and wife Michelle of Cannelton, Larry Dycus of Newburgh; sister Margaret Dycus of Newburgh; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The service will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 4 at BridgePointe Church with Pastor Steve Cripps officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and 12:00 till 2:00 at the church. Interment to follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
