Jerry Lane Braden, 58, of Whitesville, died Monday, January 07, 2008, at the Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born September 19, 1949 to the late Alvah and Mary Ruth Barlow Braden in Daviess County. He worked at Modern Welding for 27 years, and was a member of Bells Run Baptist Church. He enjoyed "coon" hunting, fishing, playing his guitar and harmonica. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Braden, a grandson, Dakota Parks, and his father-in-law, Robert Adcock.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Carol Adcock Braden; his daughters, Tamara Hall and her husband, Darren of Fordsville, and Jennifer Casey and her husband, Anthony Kim of Whitesville; two grandsons, Drew Hall and Luke Parks, one granddaughter, Maddie Hall and one step-granddaughter, Destiny Casey; two brothers, Alvey Braden and his wife, Donna of Whitesville, Steve Braden of Owensboro, two sisters, Ruth Ann Hendricks and her husband, Rod of Owensboro, and Cathy Benningfield and her husband, Rick of Whitesville; his mother-in-law, Wilma Adcock Edwards of Owensboro; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws and friends.
Services will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Bells Run Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday and after 9:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
