Jerry Lee Bailey, 59, of 113 Gilmour Court, Owensboro, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at his home after losing his battle with leukemia. He was born December 25, 1948 to the late Lee and Mildred "Bug" Burden Bailey in Daviess County. He was of the Pentecostal faith, a former member of the Goldwing Road Riders Association, and a former member of the Daviess County Fish and Game. He was a professional truck driver for L & D Transportation Services, enjoyed riding his Goldwing, traveling and waiting for family or friends to finish grilling. His favorite past time was spending time at home tending his pond and enjoying his family, grandchildren, their friends and his and Judy's many friends they've made over the years.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Bailey Newton, three half-brothers, Marvin, Jimmy and Cecil Bailey, half-sister, Mary Bailey Taylor.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Judy; his sons, David Bailey of Maceo and Jerry Bailey of Owensboro; two grandchildren, Cody Lee Bailey and Brittany Leighann Bailey; a sister, Pam Howard, a step-brother, Jessie Howard of Bowling Green, a step-sister, Betty Lott of Evansville, IN; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM Friday and after 9:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the James Graham Brown Cancer Center, University of Louisville, 529 South Jackson St., Louisville, KY 40202.
