Jerome Bernard Buschkoetter

Jerome Bernard Buschkoetter, 88, of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024, at his home, while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born April 21, 1935, in Dubois Co., IN, to the late Henry Jr. and Eleanora Hulseman Buschkoetter. Jerome was retired from Stewart-Warner in Perry County where he worked as a tool and die Journeyman. He served in the United States Army. Jerome was also a member of Walnut Baptist Church since 2005. 

Jerome enjoyed woodworking, quilting, working in his yard, and taking care of his koi pond. Most of all, He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Monica Buschkoetter; a son, Gerald Ray Buschkoetter; and two brothers, Wilfred and Linus Buschkoetter. 

Jerome is survived by his two sons, Joe (Michelle) Buschkoetter and Jim (Gay) Buschkoetter; a daughter, Mary Jane Buschkoetter all of Owensboro; grandchildren, Britt Brantley of Greensboro, GA, Shelby (Alec) Moser, and Tristan Buschkoetter both of Owensboro; a great-granddaughter, Kenna Moser; and a sister, Mary Rita Oeding of Ireland, IN.

The funeral service for Jerome will be held at noon Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Brother Eugene Howard officiating. Burial to follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3 until 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
