Jeannie G. Lawrence

Jeannie G. Lawrence, 60, of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born February 13, 1949 to William Louis and Mildred Evans Gerteisen, Sr. in Daviess County. She graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School in 1967, has an Associates Degree from Brescia University, her Real Estate License in Phoenix, AZ, and retired from BellSouth Telephone Company. Her passion was gardening and she enjoyed playing bingo.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Louis Gerteisen, Sr. on May 12, 2004, a sister, Ronda Goetz on February 7, 1999, and a niece, Shonna L. Wiggs on August 3, 1993.

Survivors include her daughter, Christina Lawrence Tibbs of Owensboro, and her son, Jon David "J.D." Lawrence, and (Carrie Billings) of Owensboro; four grandchildren, Taylar Marie Lawrence, Tanner Tibbs, Talon Tibbs, and Elizabeth Rachael Lawrence; her mother, Mildred E. Gerteisen of Owensboro; four sisters, Becky (Jerry) Johnson, Brenda Gerteisen, Gail Wiggs, and Sue (Mike) Riccitelli of Phoenix, AZ, and three brothers, Bill (Glenda) Gerteisen, Jordan (Mary) Gerteisen, and David (Tina) Gerteisen, all of Owensboro; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday and after 9:00 AM Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
