Jeannette Lanham passed on from this life to the next on June 21st 2010 after a short battle with cancer at 88. She was born in Daviess County, Kentucky and lived all of her life in the community. She was a lifelong homemaker. She loved all animals, especially dogs and birds, and spent many hours tending to bird feeders and her goldfish pond in the backyard of her home. She enjoyed wintering in central Florida for many years with her husband of 72 years Larry E Lanham, founder of Lanham Brothers General Contractors. They were members of Calvary Baptist Church and attended Red Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her oldest son Larry Gene Lanham, a sister Florence Hill, her father and mother Charles and Lula Mae Lashbrook.
She is survived by her husband Larry E Lanham; Larry Gene Lanham's widow Judy White, a daughter Gayle Dennis and her husband Bill, two sons David R. Lanham and his wife Brenda, and Dan Lanham and his wife Nancy. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Kelly Westbrook and her husband Mike of Marietta, GA, Spencer Dennis, Angie Moseley and her husband Danny, Mandy Dennis, Ashley Dennis of Chicago, IL, Chris Lanham, Andy Lanham and his wife Kristi, Claire Lanham, Wes Lanham and Logan Lanham. Also surviving are four great grandchildren Austin and Tyler Westbrook of Marietta, GA, Justin Moseley and Kash Lanham.
Services are 10 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010 in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9 a.m. on Thursday.
