Jeannetta B. Powers

Jeannetta B. (Pagan) Powers , 88 , passed away on March 18, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She resided at Heartland Villa in Lewisport, but she had been a lifetime resident of Owensboro. Jeannetta was born on March 15, 1924 in Daviess County to the late John and Margaret Pagan.

Jeannetta was a member of St Pius Catholic Church and was employed by General Electric for over 40 years.

She had a strong faith and her generosity included donations to many charities, including Samaritan's Purse and Billy Graham Ministries. She enjoyed writing poems, her cats and crocheting.

Jeannetta was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenny Williams; a second husband, Charles C. Powers; her parents and two siblings, Stuart Pagan and Martha Jane Williams.

She is survived by two sisters, Alma Jean Head of Owensboro and Patsy Head of Hawesville along with many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory at 12 Noon on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. Fr. Julian Ibemere will officiate. Entombment will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Wednesday from 10:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
