Jeanne S. O'Bryan

Jeanne S. O'Bryan, 84, of Owensboro, passed away May 18, 2016, at the Carmel Home. Born June 4, 1931, to the late Joseph Vernie Sr. and Wilma Sapp in Daviess Co., Jeanne was a devoted wife and loving mother. For 10 years, she was office manager at Valley Firestone. She was a Realtor for 25 years with Castlen Realtors. Jeanne enjoyed singing in the choir at various churches she attended throughout her life. She served for 10 years on the finance committee at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Jeanne was a co-founder of the KWC Panther Express and served as its Secretary-Treasurer for 31 years. In 2015, she was inducted into the KWC Sports Hall of Fame with the Panther Express.

Jeanne is preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Angelita, and six brothers and sisters. Jeanne is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Bill, and daughters: Marilyn (Bob) Stroud of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; Patricia Feldman of McKinney, TX; Carolyn Cochran of Minneapolis, MN; Barbara (Ron) Riberich of Knoxville, TN; Donna (Rick) Larkin, of Columbus, OH; and Teresa (John) Gregory of Louisville, KY; grandchildren: Bryan (Emily) Stroud, Steve (Mary Jaworski) Stroud, Mark (Chontae) Feldman, Mary Leigh Feldman Nations, Will (Erin) Cochran, Sarah Cochran, Kelly Larkin, Laura Larkin, Patrick Larkin, Ellen Gregory; great-grandchildren: Eliza Stroud, Vivian Stroud, Julia Feldman, Carly Feldman, Gabriel Kielman, and Olivia Grace Cochran.

Her family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the Carmelite Sisters and staff of the Carmel Home for their compassionate care of Jeanne and their heartfelt concern for us.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Pat Reynolds and Fr. Gary Clark officiating. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 3:00-7:00 p.m. with prayers at 6:00 p.m. and after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 4029 Frederica St, Owensboro, KY 42301.
