Jeanne Penn Greer Kurek

Jeanne Penn "Penny" Greer Kurek passed away Friday, April 10, 2015 at the age of 72. Born in Owensboro, the daughter of the late James and Jeanne Short Greer, Penny was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved her family; her children and grandchildren were everything to her. Her interests included cooking, creating floral arrangements and wreaths. She enjoyed music and was a talented pianist, playing by ear.


She is survived by her daughters Kathryn Greer Miller Rolley and her husband Glenn of Owensboro, Margaret Jamison Miller Hayden and her husband Rusty of Louisville, and Julia Lee Miller Baltenberger and her husband Mike of Lexington; her grandchildren Elizabeth Penn Baltenberger, Ryan Marshall Baltenberger, Ashley Kate Rolley, and Mitchell Glenn Rolley; and her brother Marshall Greer of Owensboro.

The funeral service, officiated by The Rev. Darren Brandon, will be 12:00 noon Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Good Samaritan Fund of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church.
