Jeanette Barbara Dick, 79, of East 22nd Street, Owensboro, died Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Owensboro Medical Health System. Jeanette was born in Evansville, Indiana to the late Andrew and Anna (Weigand) O'Bryan. She was in the first graduating class of Mater Dei High in 1949. She was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church, and enjoyed her garden and fish pond. In addition to her parents, two sisters, Bernice Williams and Mary Baumgart preceded her in death.
Surviving is her husband of 55 years, Vincent J. Dick, five daughters; Connie Simpson of Owensboro Linda (Ed) Moore of Evansville, IN, Julie Walker of Cincinnati,OH., Sarah Creamer and Stacey (Orville "Butch") Lambert of Lewisport, grandchildren; Matt (Sandra) Simpson, Ryan Simpson, Courtney Moore, Riley Moore, Kristen Walker, Ashley Walker, Amber Creamer, and Brooke Creamer, great-grandchildren; Zaden Simpson, Zatori Simpson, and Skyler Creamer, sisters; Florence Murphy and Margaret Wilcox of Evansville, Lucille Russellburg of Indianapolis , IN., and a brother; Andrew "Bud" O'Bryan of Florida.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 22, 2010 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with Fr. John Meredith officiating. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. with prayers at 4:30 p.m. and also after 9 a.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home. The family has requested expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
