Jeanette Wilsbacher Barnett

Jeanette Wilsbacher Barnett, 90, of Owensboro passed away Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Carmel Home. She was born August 5, 1925 in Warrick County, Indiana to the late Joseph and Matilda Wilsbacher. Mrs. Barnett was a devoted Catholic who was a member of the Immaculate Parrish, the Alter Society, and Legion of Mary Auxiliary. She spent the last 18 years being active in the life of the Carmel Home. Mrs. Barnett had worked at Mercy Hospital and retired in 1985 as a Pharmacy Tech.

Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William H. Barnett in 2002; sisters, Edith, Edna, Irene, Dorothy and Lorene; brothers, Leo, Herman and Bob.

Survivors include her daughters, Jo Anne Mason and husband Joe, Susan Rice and husband Steve all of Owensboro; son, Mark Barnett and wife Becky of Appleton, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren, Jenny Mason, Jill Hayden and husband Alan, Matt Mason and wife Marlys, Ryan Goetz, Christopher, Adam and Alex Barnett; step grandchildren, Scott Rice and wife Chelsea, Brian Rice and wife Stacey; 10 great grandchildren; sister-in- law, Lucy Wilsbacher; and many loving nieces and nephews.

The service will be 12:00 PM Tuesday, May 17 at the Carmel Home with Father Tony Jones conducting the funeral mass. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 AM till 12:00 PM at the Carmel Home. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory will be handling the arrangements.
