Jean Bruce Tipton

Jean Lile Tipton, 78, of 530 Yale Place, Owensboro, died Saturday, May 25, 2002 at the Owensboro Mercy Heaelth System. The Greenville native was a member of the Pleasant Memorial Baptist Church; worked for the Mercy Hospital as a nurse assistant for 11 years; and was former president of the Roosevelt Hoouse II Resident's Council.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelvis Ray Tipton, Sr., in 1998.

She is survived by two sons, Larry Tipton of Niagra, KY and Nelvis R. Tipton, Jr. of Owensboro; three daughters, Rosemary Craig of West Jordan, UT, Sandy Tooley and Connie Murphy of Owensboro; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a brother, William Arrington Lile of Crofton, KY; and a sister, Dorothy Lewis of Central City.

Funeral services are 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at the Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 P.M. on Monday and after 11 A.M. on Tuesday.
