Jean Locke Lovell

Jean Locke Lovell, 72, of Owensboro, passed away on February 29, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health System.

Mrs. Lovell was born in Madisonville, KY to the late Dallas and Willie Elizabeth Weir.

She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Jean was a member of Third Baptist Church in Owensboro where she was a member of the Co-Ed Sunday School Class, taught Sunday School and had served on many church committees. She enjoyed playing bridge, working in the yard and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson. Jean also did medical records at River Valley Behavioral Health.

Mrs. Lovell is survived by her husband of 55 years, Wayne; two daughters, Lista Hale and Lesha Lovell of Owensboro; two brothers, Ronnie Locke and his wife Faye and Roger Locke and his wife Marilyn, both of Madisonville, KY; grandchildren, John David, Rachel, Austin, Zachary, and Jackie; great-grandson, Draven and several nieces and nephews.


The funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Dr. James Byrd and Dr. Joe Thomas will officiate. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
