Jean Purdy Isbell, 83, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Daviess County on October 13, 1922, Mrs. Isbell was the daughter of the late Robert M. and Irma Frances Keeley Purdy. She was married to the late J.C. Isbell; worked for many years at General Electric; was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in Evansville; and enjoyed reading and her cat..
Mrs. Isbell is survived by her son, Ricky Isbell of Owensboro; sisters, Joyce Wall of Owensboro, Frances Smith of Bowling Green, and Jewell Valez of Niles, MI.; nieces and nephews Barbara Gray, Ricky Wall, and Frank Wall all of Owensboro, Dale Smith of Bowling Green, David and Keith Smith of Louisville, Scott Smith of Kansas, Bruce Wall of Hawaii, Sally Easterling of Clanton, AL, Donna Isbell of Owensboro, and Maria, Lisa, Tony and Timmy Valez of MI.
There are no services or visitation. Glenn Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
