Jean Jones Howard

Jean Jones Howard, 68, of Morgantown, died Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at the Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green. Born May 16, 1937 in Butler County, Mrs. Howard was a retired school librarian working in Boca Raton, Ft. Lauderdale, and Miami FL. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Morgantown. She enjoyed gardening, needlepoint, reading and working with children. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Justice Jones, and a sister, Wanda J. Westerfield.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles Gilbert Howard; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Anthony and Teresa J. Howard of Leander, TX, and Christopher Paul and Maria Howard of Austin, TX; her mother, Beulah Embry Jones Cox of Owensboro; six grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Howard, Charles Andrew Howard, Shannon Abigale Howard, all of Leander, TX, Elizabeth Ann Howard of Myrtle Beach, SC, Amy Marie Howard and Kevin Paul Howard both of Austin, TX; a great-granddaughter, Brenna Joceyln Edmonston of Leander, TX; a sister, Julyette J. (and her husband David) Willmann of Austin, TX; and a brother-in-law, James H. Westerfield of Owensboro.

Funeral services are 10:30 A.M. Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Morgantown with entombment in Resurrection Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home from 2-6 P.M. on Sunday where prayers will be said at 6 P.M. Sunday. Visitation on Monday will be at Holy Trinity after 9:30 A.M.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society or for Masses.
