Jean Bell

April 10, 1929 — January 9, 2017

Jean Bell, of Owensboro died January 9, 2017, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in McLean County to the late Coy and Sally Warren Galloway and had been the owner of Jean's Beauty Shop since 1960. Jean was of the Holiness Faith Nondenominational, and loved cooking, sewing and quilting. She enjoyed watching western movies and helping the community with her charity work. Jean had a big heart and was a wonderful mother.

She was also proceeded in death by her husband, Alva Bell and a sister, Ann Phillips.

Survivors include her son Jerry Wayne Bell and his wife, Angie, of Newnan, GA; grandchildren, Jeffrey Bell and Jennifer Winkles; great-grandchildren, Kylie Winkles and Reese Winkles all of Newnan, GA; and a brother, Hugh West of Owensboro.

Services will be Noon Friday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.
