Janice Prottsman Rankins

Janice Prottsman Rankins, 78, of 1415 West 1st Street, Owensboro, died peacefully Friday, November 23, 2007, at her home. She was born March 12, 1929 to the late Ray and Barbara Cook Prottsman in Cleveland, OH. She had worked as a clerk in the Daviess County Clerks Office, was a member of the Baptist Faith and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Her greatest joy in life was being with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Jack Rankins and his wife, Tonja of Owensboro; her daughter, Carol Pippen and her husband, Scott of Lexington; six grandchildren, Leslie and Logan Abell, Jared, Victoria, Lisa and Carrie Pippen.

Services will be 12:00 PM Monday at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 until 6:00 PM Sunday and after 11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1302 Frederica Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.
