Janice Rose Cundiff Hinton, 69, of Owensboro, passed away Monday September 7, 2009. She was born on July 1, 1940 in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Charles Cundiff and Mildred Crump Green.
Janice was a dedicated L.P.N. retiring from Green River District Health Dept. in 2008 after 22 years of service and was also appointed to the National Alzheimers Association Committee by former President George W. Bush. She enjoyed gardening and occasional road trips with her family. She was also preceded in death by her husband Jackie H. Hinton on December 7, 2000.
Those she left behind to carry on include five children: a son, Jack (Joy) Hinton of Owensboro, four daughters, Renee (Steve) Armstrong of Fenton, Missouri, Monica Laskowski of Orlando, Florida, Amelia Hinton and Lenoir (Aaron) Keller of Owensboro, two brothers: James (Lila) Green of New Mexico and David (Judy) Green of Morganfield, three sisters, Sharon Green, Barbara (Larry) Ashby, and Susann Bartlett, all of Owensboro, five grandchildren: Alex Armstrong, Kisha Laskowski, Meghan Laskowski, Valerie (Matt) Hinton Ziegler, and Jeffrey Locher II, three great grandchildren, Ada Parris, Chelsea Ziegler, and Taylon Belotti as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 9 at the Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 8:30 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
