Janetta Frances Mcbrayer

Janetta Sutherlin McBrayer, 80, of 6425 Masonville-Habit Rd., Masonville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004 at her home.She was a native of Daviess Co., Ky. and had been a lifelong member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church where she had been the treasurer for 40 years. She was born to the late Marvin & Martha Sutherlin. She along with her twin sister Renetta Carpenter first worked, during World War II, building wings for the P-47 Thunderbolt airplanes. She was a farmer, loved gardening, a homemaker, and mother of five. She was an avid golfer, where she was an active member of Windridge Country Club.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Shelby McBrayer, her twin sister, Renetta Sutherlin Carpenter of Masonville, and her brother, Marvin Sutherlin of Calhoun, her children and their spouses including Bruce & Linda McBrayer of Nicholasville, Ky., Donna & John Cotterill of Hopkinsville, Debbie & Scott Baird of Owensboro, Kay & Bennie Conkright of Atlanta, Ga., and David & Clare McBrayer of Masonville. The grandchildren and their spouses include Brandon McBrayer, Jessica & Jonathan Snowden, Christopher Cotterill, D.M.D., Rebecca Cotterill, Scott, Jr.and Jennifer Baird, Sherri & J. J. Huskisson, Stacey Baird, Stan Baird, Eric Conkright, Kindra Conkright, Travis McBrayer, Mandy McBrayer, and Jarred McBrayer. Great grandchildren include Hunter, Haley, and Hannah Baird, and Lexi & Logan Huskisson.

Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, Dec. 13, at Sugar Grove Baptist Church with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday and from 8:30 till 9:15 A.M. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home.
