Janet Faye Turner was a modest, humble, and quiet servant who cared for everyone. Her special gift was the care of children. On October 24, 2017, in the 82nd year of her life, she passed away in the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Janet was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and sister-in-law. Her professional care for children began in 1965 at Settle Memorial United Methodist Church Pre-School where she spent 20 years and was the head teacher. She then bought Wee People Day Care from Edna Cornell where her 36 years of nurturing extended to three generations of children. Janet's husband, Thomas A. Turner, Jr.; her parents Lester and Madeline Miller Bryant; and her brother Lester "Junior" Bryant, preceded her in death.
Those who remain to remember her devotion include her sons, Thomas A. Turner, III and his wife Kathy of Utica and Timothy Bryant Turner and his wife Becky of Maceo; her grandchildren Ashley Hughes, Amber Turner, Thomas A. Turner, IV, Becky Porter (Sam) and T.J.
