Janet Sue Payne

Janet Sue Payne, 77, of Owensboro, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Germantown, TN. She was a native of Owensboro, born to the late Herman and Sarah (Fugate) Trego. Janet was a retired bookkeeper for Field Packing Company, and a member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church. She loved cats, enjoyed knitting and reading. Her first husband, Charles L. Hayden preceded her in death in 1967, and her second husband, Francis Payne in April 2010.

Surviving is a son, Charles T. Hayden of Memphis TN., grandchildren, Melissa Parsons of Warner Robbins, GA., and Jeffery and Rachel Hayden both of Memphis, TN., a great-granddaughter, Taylor Hayden of Memphis, a brother-in-law, Carl Wilkey of Louisville, KY., and nieces and nephews, Kenny Lee Wilkey of Jacksonville, FL., and Sue Duggins, Phillip Wilkey and Julie Lashley, all of Louisville.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2010 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, and after 9 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
