Jane Ann Wilhite Petri

Jane Ann Wilhite Petri, 65, of Maceo passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at her home. Born in Daviess County, IN on March 1, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Hulda Bateman Wilhite and was a homemaker. Mrs. Petri enjoyed gardening, NASCAR, UK basketball, and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. For the past 15 years, she has been member of the St. Pius Tenth Catholic Church Cooking Team. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Ernest "Chick" Wilhite, Clyde Wilhite, and Russell Wilhite; sisters, Ruby Wilhite, Mary Jean Wilhite, and Ruth Sparks; and her father-in-law, Charles Petri, Jr..

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Charles Petri, III; a daughter, Julie (Butch) Hill of Owensboro; sons, Kelly Wheeler and Chuck Wheeler of Owensboro, and Greg (Brandy) Wheeler of Dunlop, TN; grandchildren, Lacie Hill, Lindsey Hill, Logan Hill, Zeb Wheeler, Kaylin Wheeler, and Angie Wheeler; brothers, Bill Wilhite of Linton, IN and Paul (Evelyn) Wilhite of Sebree, FL; and her mother-in-law, Margery Petri of Maceo.

Services are 2 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2009 in the Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory chapel with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Western Kentucky Hospice.
