Jane Marilyn Munday Rascoe, 87, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Cedarhurst Senior Living. She was born on April 6, 1938, in Daviess County, to the late Otto and Muriel Pitt Munday.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Robertson; brother, Jimmy Munday; and the love of her life; her husband, Ralph Rascoe. They were married November 23, 1957, at the home of their pastor, the Reverend James Stivers, and enjoyed a marriage that lasted 57 years before Ralph’s passing.
Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be remembered for the love, encouragement, support, and kindness that she offered to everyone. She was an avid UK basketball fan and loved cheering on the CATS. Marilyn was an excellent cook, and everyone looked forward to the family meals she prepared. She was famous for her potato salad and pecan pie.
Over the years, Marilyn was a member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church, Third Baptist Church, and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, working in the nursery, VBS, and as a Sunday school teacher. She was always there for her children’s school years; serving as homeroom mother, playing a mummy during the fall festival haunted house, supporting the band as a band booster and watching us perform as we marched, danced, and played sports.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Lisa Davis and her husband, Kenny, Karen Reed and her husband, Daryl, and Jeff Rascoe and his wife, Teresa; grandchildren, Brad (Hannah) Davis, Jeff Davis, Kyle Reed, Emily (Kristian) Reed, Seth Reed, Jonathan (Haley) Rascoe, Elizabeth Rascoe, and Michael (Madison) Rascoe; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Jane will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2026, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. Dennis McFadden officiating. Burial to follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideon’s International P.O. Box 1133 Owensboro, KY 42302 or the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, 1 Billy Graham Parkway Charlotte, NC 28217.
The family would like to give special thanks to Signature Healthcare at Hillcrest, Cedarhurst Senior Living, and Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky for the excellent care and compassion provided.
