Jamie Sue McKinney Shain

Jamie Sue McKinney Shain, 81, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday July 11, 2024, at Twin Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on May 11, 1943, in Daviess County, to the late James and Virginia Louise Coombs McKinney. Jamie loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending every minute she could with them. She also spent time fishing, sewing, loving on her dogs, bird watching, and her flowers especially her roses and clematis.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Allen Mays.

Jamie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Alton Lee Shain; daughters, Teresa (Corey) Partridge and Mary (Andy) Edwards; 11 grandchildren, Melissa Hughes, James Mays, Katie (Justin) Edge, Joshua (Haley) Mays, Zachary (Kayla) Mays, Brandon (Katie) Mays, Destiney (Joshua) Mays, Andrew (Kelsey) Edwards, Elijah (Lexi) Edwards, Kira Edwards, and Santana Munoz; 8 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way; and her beloved dog, Sally Sue.

The funeral service for Jamie Shain will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday July 15, 2024, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Brother Terry Modl officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
