James Delbert Williams

February 8, 1916 — March 30, 2001

Mr. James Delbert Williams, 85, of 4682 Pleasant Grove Road, died Friday, March 30 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native was a member of St Stephen Cathedral and was a retired upholsterer from the Whitehall Furniture Company. He was an Army veteran of World War II and loved to play chess and billiards.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bertha Clyde Boling Williams, a son, Tim Williams of Stamping Ground, KY and a daughter, Sandra Williams of Owensboro, 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Mabel Slaven of Owensboro.

Funeral services are Monday, April 2, 1:30 P.M. at St Stephen Cathedral with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Glenn Funeral Home from 2-8 P.M. Sunday, April 1 and after 10 A.M., Monday, April 2. Parrish prayers will be 5 P.M. Sunday, April 1 at the funeral home.
