James Robert Wethington, 63 of Murphreesboro, Tennessee, formerly of Owensboro, died Monday, May 14, 2007 in Dalton, Georgia. Mr. Wethington was a retired pipefitter, and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He enjoyed working in church, Nascar, working in his lawn and gardening.
Mr. Wethington was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Wethington on August 5, 2004.
Surviving are his wife Brenda Ann Wethington of Murphreesboro, Tennessee, his mother, Attie Nix Peeno of Owensboro, his step-mother, Shirley Jones of Cynthiana, Indiana, sons, Keith (Tammy) Wethington and Brian (Tresa) Wethington of Owensboro, and Derek (Karen) Wethington of Utica, step-sons, Jarrett Christian Pack of Rocky Face, Georgia and Dewayne Pack of Macon, Georgia, grandchildren, Aaron, Tyler, Nate, Jacob, Drake, Morgan, and Kenton Wethington, and step-grandchildren, Kristen and Nathan Pack of Rocky Face, Georgia, brothers, Irvin Nix and Raymond Nix of Owensboro, and Perry Wethington of Indianapolis, Indiana, and sisters, Debbie Gilbreath of Owensboro and Tammy Reidford of Wadesville, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve James officiating, with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 pm. Friday, and after 9 a.m. Saturday.
