James Allen Westerfield

James Allen Westerfield, 63, of 224 E. 5th. St., Owensboro, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2004, at his home. He was retired from the Chemical Lab at Green River Steel Corp. after 28 years. He also had worked as a Service technician with Siemens/Westinghouse and Eaton Industries. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church where he was very active. He enjoyed collecting & restoring antiques, woodworking, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a 1958 graduate of Daviess Co. High School.

Surviving is his wife of 44 years, Janice Westerfield, his daughter and son-in-law, Lori & Robert Sterge of Owensboro, his mother, Ruby Westerfield of Owensboro, two grandchildren, Maggie & Andrew, his brother & his wife, Larry & Dora Westerfield of Owensboro, several beloved nieces & nephews, 3 sisters-in-law and their husbands, Edna & Jim Duvall and Donna & Keith Smith of Owensboro, and Melissa & Barry Bruce of Evansville, In.

Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 18, at the Bellevue Baptist Church with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M.
