James Estill Walker, 65, of 2214 Yewells Landing South, Owensboro, died Thursday, October 30, 2003 at the Hillcrest Healthcare Center. The Falls of Rough native was a member of the Hall Street Baptist Church and was a retired machinist from Green River Steel (30 years) and Barton Brands (13 years). He enjoyed art, golf and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Beverly Theiss Walker; a son, Dale Walker of Dittmer, MO; two daughters, Tammy Rutledge of Evansville and Wendy Howard of Whitesville; four grandchildren, Brad Walker of Louisville, Sarah Rutledge and Jacob Rutledge both of Evansville, and Stephanie Walker of Dittmer, MO.; a brother, Darrell Walker of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2 P.M. Sunday, November 2, 2003 at the Glenn Funeral Home with entombment in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-8 P.M. on Saturday and after noon on Sunday.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Alzheimers Association.
